Memorial Day Rememberance
The following has been often quoted. The last time I heard it was when Zell Miller quoted it during his speech at the Republican National Convention. But, on this Memorial Day, it is worth reading and reflecting on, again. We can not thank those who have paid the ultimate sacrifice enough for the freedoms and way of life that they died to preserve and protect.
God Bless Our Troops, God Bless America,
God Bless the BSA, and God Bless you
-- Patriot Mark
It is the soldier, not the reporter,
Who has given us freedom of the press.
It is the soldier, not the poet,
Who has given us freedom of speech.
It is the soldier, not the organizer,
Who has given us the freedom to demonstrate.
Who has given us the freedom to demonstrate.
It is the soldier,
Who salutes the flag,
Who serves beneath the flag,
And whose coffin is draped by the flag,
Who allows the protestor to burn the flag.
